You might want to replace all the bulbs. they are 15v 1 w. leaded style so you will have to solder new ones in and desolder the old ones out.

There are kits available with instructions on how to do it. Not really a hard job.

As Eugene says, its easy, in the manuel on site there is a good description on how to open the magic box, desolder and solder the lamps is easy, and change all of them, new ones are brighter than the old ones.

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

    Re: Beomaster 2400-2 Bulb change

    Welcome to Beoworld !

I can supply a lamp kit for the Beomaster 1900 and 2400 models.
It contains a full set of fresh panel lamps (plus a spare) of correct
type and wattage, which is important in this Beomaster since most
of the lamps work as vital parts of the electronic circuitry.
The kit comes with detailed (dis-)assembly instructions (english text and photos).
Basic electronic tools (soldering) is required to replace the bulbs.

I agree with Søren in changing them all in one go. It will bring equal
light output to the panel and since the lamps filaments becomes brittle
with age and use, more of the lamps will unavoidably go bad from
    service vibrations.

I would also replace all 15 lamps. It is not the first time that someone replaced just the defective lamps to find out that after the BeoMaster was put together again another lamp is broken. R Simply replace all of them and have fun mounting the front of the BeoMaster after the repair....Wink Maybe you should also have a look at the capacitors, they also might need replacing and since you already have to disassemble the BeoMaster to change the bulbs. Dillen can probably also supply a capacitor kit!
