Loudspeaker "pop" when changing channel in cable box

If I have my cable box/PVR (Humax HDPVR-1000C) connected to my BV10-40 with HDMI only, I get a really loud "pop" in the TV loudspeakers when I change channel.

If I connect sound via SPDIF plus the HDMI, I do not get that kind of noise.

Is that something anyone have experienced?

I hear a "pop" too, but my situation is different from yours.

My cable box (Pace RNG 110) is connected to my BV10-40 with HDMI only, and when I used to have only front speakers (BL 9) connected, would not hear a "pop" when changing channels. Recently, I installed rear BeoVox speakers through a Beolink Passive amplifier. Now, I hear a "pop" from the rear speakers when changing channels. Strangely, I hear the "pop" even when in speaker 1, 2 or 3 mode; the Beolink Passive amplifier stays on no matter what speaker mode.

It has gotten annoying enough to the point where I sometimes unplug the Passive when not planning to use surround sound.

I had the same problem, with the same digibox, went away after the software upgrade of my BV10...

When I had it before the SW update it was sort of intermittent. If it appeared, it wouldn't go away, but playing with the HDMI cable a bit on the TV end, worked every time, I sort of jiggled the connector a bit, not completely disconnecting it.

Also with my BV 8-40/Humac 5050C combination I experience this "popping" problem for more than one and a half year now. To tackle this problem B&O have introduced a sw update (Version build 153) october last year.  Unfortunately without any result. I think there was also a similar update for the BV10.

I´m quite sure I have the latest build. Annoying problem, even though I have a workaround with the sound over SPDIF.

When did you have the TV updated? I took delivery of mine in december, updated it 2 weeks ago, did not have the latest software.

I think it was in October/November timeframe. How can I check the SW revision? Is that the "build" mentioned in the service menu?
