Now I know what you mean

Yesterday I started the test run of the Beosystem 6500 with RL 140. The system was working some 6-8 hours, on radio different stations, Bg and BGCD, sound very good, today in the morning I turned it on with a radio station and the preset sound, set to easy listening (background music) it was louder than yesterday, I had to turn it down some 8 points on the scale to what i presume was what it was yesterday, and the sound more clear on all ranges, I let it play some 4-5 hours on that level, and tonight I turned up the volume to party level, man this just get better, I have never heard a system like this before but this is incredible, as I didn't believe my ears i put a mint CD on with Blondie, put the same into my BS 3000 with BL 8000, I cannot say what is the best, but the 2 systems sounds different and I think I like the BG 6500 and RL 140 more.

The difference from yesterday to today at night is impressive, I didn't realize the difference that it do when the new caps starts to wake up, I've read about it on the forum, but never heard it so pronounced as with this equipment, I'm in love

Beosound 3000, BL 4000, BL 8000, BG 2404,BG 5000, BG CD50, Beocord 5000, BM 901, BM 2400, BM 4000, BV S45, BV 3702. There is nothing we cannot do, but a lot of things we don't want to do!!

I had a beogram 6500 arrive the other day. I am still waiting on the Beomaster. I have been running it with my Beosound 1 (via aux) to test it. I have been listening to it all day this way. The sound quality of the Beogram CD 6500 is better than the Beosound 1's own CD player. For example, I have been listening to some Mika (don't laugh I like his music lol) and the highs are much more detailed and crisp. I think the lows seem smoother too.

There is nothing wrong with the Beosound 1, it is great in my tatami room but I am super excited about hearing it with my BL4000 next week sometime.

I think the Beosystem 6500-7000 just were made very well INH(newbie)O. I would love to know if you what you think of the BS6500 with the BL8000.

I'm going to try the BL 8000 with the BM 6500 today, will be back with my opinion of the difference between RL 140 and BL 8000

I made the test, because of lack of space and not wanting to move too much around, I have the RLs close to a wall, the right one in a corner and the wall is painted plaster on brick, the BLs are standing free some 30 Cm  from another wall same type.

With reference to the RLs, the sound from the BLs is clearer in the highs and have a more distinctive bass, the bass in the RLs is kind of more booming. The differences are small, so I think its a mather of getting used to or a mather of what you prefere

Comparing to my BS 3000, the BM 6500 is the better as I can run both types of speakers on it, from reception and sound there is not to much difference, but I run my BS with non BO equipment, means a Philips DVD, connected through the flatscreen, a preamp for BG 5000 and a LG flatscreen going into the BS and out to the BL 8000s, so its not a good comparation.

I'm very impressed with the Beosystem 6500, I never thought it would sound this good when I checked it the first time some month ago, but new caps and a good cleaning, new surrounds and caps in the RLs did it.
