    Not so sure... Maybe it's a part of the Beosound5 Encore where the ICE module only serves as headphone amplifier...

    But it could be something more interesting : as they speak of USB, it could be a module for some Beolab PC : the issue of Beolab 4 PC (compared to B&W MM-1 for instance) is that they don't have their own DAC. That module could solve this issue.

    Going further, we could imagine some "BeoNet inside" Beolabs : only an ethernet (or WLAN) connection, and you can diffuse your music everywhere in the house with only one audio center (and a Beo6 remote)...

    I did wonder if this or something similar was related to the BS8, with the DAC, USB etc.

    I haven't seen or heard anything about the BS8 internals.

    Generally speaking, you aren't learning much if your lips are moving.

    3mm x 2.6mm x 1mm chip to do what would have taken maybe one cubic metre at the start of B&O in the 1920's!
