I agree it ! It was a simple offer ... and yet extremely generous.

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

Thanks for the message Soren - I feel embarrassed, just a small gesture!

I've worked with Bang & Olufsen for over 25 years now - starting off as a service engineer, and working my way up to store owner.  I fully understand that people who buy Bang & Olufsen have high expectations of the brand, and those that work in its stores - exceptional service is one of my minimum standards.

Mine is a simple ethos - DON'T over promise, DO what you say you'll do, WHEN you say you'll do it...and treat the customer that wants an obscure low value spare part the same as the customer wishing to spend over £50k on a full system.

Supplying and servicing Bang & Olufsen is all about creating long standing relationships with valued customers...

...end of sermon - steps off pulpit!!

A real B&O dealer - I hope Struer see this - this is the type of good feeling about a brand that thousands of pounds of advertising cannot buy. I realise that the cost of parts will be minimal, but the time taken and thought involved is what counts. We did think of have a BeoWorld Approved scheme for dealers but decided that it might not go down too well with head office. If the idea is resurrected, I think you go to the top of the list!

Nick, there are quite a few dealers that could learn from this.Hmm

I dont know if I'm happy or not, at the moment my son is TESTING, at volume with some terrible rap or what they call this awful kind of noice, but the speaker sure is running, I gave a Beosound 3000 and the 2 BL 4000 to him as I desided to go vintage, well at least he is happy, and I think we in time will have one more Beofan between us, younger people tend to go the fast and cheap track when it comes to music.

    Hi Nick,

    Here's a longshot tester for you.....Laughing

I'm looking for a small part of the table stand for a BS9000 (part 2053) - the stabilizer that helps the stability of the stand when used in the upright position. Picture below....

I have all the rest of the stand in it's entirety, including the other stabilizer (the one pictured above) ~ just the other stabilizer has gone walkabout ...Angry

If anyone happens to have a spare one lying in a toolbox or forgotton in the bottom of a draw, i'd be very grateful...Smile

    Nick

    Nick,

It's a small accessory that came in a small plastic bag (along with screws etc) with the Stand 2053. Other BS9000 table stands I've seen on ebay are displayed with the stabilizers present - so I know they are around. Here's some more photo's of it.

It's obviously not a 'part' that is available and can be ordered seperately. It's too small for that. The two stabilizers simply came in a small plastic bag along with bracket stand 2053. And I'm starting to think that the only way to obtain one would be to buy a whole new stand! ~ obviously not going to do that. I was just hoping that someone, somewhere may have a spare stabilizer hanging around in the bottom of a drawer somewhere.....

If not then not to worry, I've tried Lyfestyle (which is where the stand came from), AV services, and now on here & no-one seems to understand the existance of such a stabilizer accessory, so i'm a little puzzled to be honest.

Anyhow, never mind, I might have a go at making my own or just use the stand in the lie flat position!

I've just pulled this at random straight off ebay.

    http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/B-O-Bang-Olufsen-Beosound-9000-Table-Top-Stand-2053-/250951046639?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item3a6dd915ef

See the stand pictured in the upright position - the two stabilizers can be seen clearly at each end of the stand. I'm missing one of these..Sad

They are "3103372 Foot, set inc screws" which are not shown in the exploded view but are in the "Parts not shown" list.

These are supplied with every stand. If they are not the part that you require, what are they??????

They have a part number so should be orderable.

You are a "Gold" member so I suggest you look in the service manual on site and check for yourself.

    Graham,

Thanks very much for that info, I shall do as you suggest and check that out.

I was becoming convinced they were too small a part to have their own part number, and I was becoming even more doubtful as those 'in the b&o business' seemed to be a bit stumped as well! They didnt seem to be aware even of the stabilizers existance - I drew a blank both from Lifestyle and AVA-Bang & Olufsen Services.

Why someone has taken just one of the stabilizers out of the bag, and left the other has had me a bit perplexed - but I guess it had just been lost/misplaced somewhere along the way.

    Thanks for your help.

Generally, if it's in the box, it's got a part number.

Re: Amazing B&O dealer in Sheffield

Just to let you know that I use my BS 9000 on the upright position since october 2001 on table stand 2053, and I can assure you that you won't need those ugly stabilizers.

Unless you play basketball in your room or the blizzard is blowing, table stand is far enough stable.
