    Beocenter 9000 Volume control

Could someone suggest where I should look to solve an annoying problem? I can not get the volume to reduce. After switching on the volume is about half position and it can not be reduced. On occasions in the past it has reduced with the remote but not with the manual control. Now the remote cannot reduce it either

The volume can be increased but not reduced  the only way to reduce it again is to turn the set off and restart. Then it starts at the relatively high level . The other functions all work as expected both with the remote and the touch pads on the set.

This is very frustrating because the sound level is just a bit too high for background music.

    Help !!!

    John

I think, I would try an NVRAM reset as the first thing.

Martin, Thanks for your reply I suspected it might be a microprocessor problem but I have no idea how to do a reset. I can't remember seeing anything  in the user manual and the service manual is a bit daunting. Is there a technique I can use like one used for re-setting a Kindle reader for instance.

    Regards

Well, I must admit I don't remember by heart but there is a sequence of
    buttons to press.
It's in the service manual and being a bronze member, you can download it
    from the main Beoworld website.

The BC 9000 service manual is not on the database!
