Gents,

I currently own a BS9k from 2003.

I am looking at one that was manufactured in 1999.  

Can someone tell me if there are any differences? and what they are?

What you have is a MKIII version. It came out in 2001.

A 1999 version is most likely a MKII or maybe MKI. The difference is the MKIII can accept n music and n radio out of the box without a need o be updated + it has a pincode. Also the glass and cd mechanics are different on a MKIII model.

You can tell the actual version of the BS9000 by lifting the keypad and see the type number on the label.
