Hi we have a Beomaster 5000 with beo record and gram ,cd player and remote  in mint condition.  However speakers just given up the ghost. all the surrounds have the collapsed.

can someone recommend what speakers to replace for the system. we would like to keep b&0 speakers.

Keep the S55's. Have the foam surrounds redone and they will be as new again. I had my S55's done and they are perfect. Plus I replaced the capacitors on the crossovers as well. Extremely happy with the result and they'll keep going for many, many years to come!

I second what BenSA says. I have refoamed and rebuilt the crossovers on anumber of Bepvox speaker - all with success. Certainly a lot cheaper than buying a replacement set on eBay

Did you like the S55s? They are very accurate speakers but a little bass light. This could be the opportunity to move up. Maybe Pentas in either Beovox or Beolab mark 1 form?
