Beovision 7 - how to watch the DVI input

    Hi!

I need some help with my Beovision 7-40. It has a DVI-I port and I have connected it to my laptop trough a HDMI cable with a dvi converter. How can I see the image on my television ? I have tried the PC mode but thats all black.

Have you allocated the AV4 socket to PC? Look at page 67 of your reference manual!

Yes I have. But the only source on the AV4 is YPbPr. I can't find the DVI source on the connections. I have also tried with a pure dvi-dvi cable. It have worked before, but it seems like DVI isn't active. Blocked?

Oh! Then your BV is not HD-Ready! You need an upgrade kit from your dealer, as far as i know.

I had a bv7 right from the mk1 and from what I can remember the first model or two the dvi was an input but later models it is an output for a projector You might want to check as your dvi might be the second output

I can't speak to anything before MKIII (the first version launched in the US), but every DVI socket I've ever seen on a B&O television has been an output. This may be the issue. Don't know, though.

If it turns out to be an input, then you could cycle resolutions and see which one works.
