    BeoSound 5 and Slave Audio

    Hi Guys

When setting up a BeoSound 5 as an audio master and having a BeoCenter 2 or BeoSound 4 as a slave what options do they need to be in and what do you need to tell them that they are slaves?

    Thanks

It depends on where they are placed! If in separate linked rooms they should be set in A.Option 5 (If TV is also there) or 6 (If all alone). For N.Music and N.Radio just add these commends on your Beo4 or Beo5 and that's it.

    Best regards

Re: BeoSound 5 and Slave Audio

There is no B&O TV in the room with the BeoSound 4 and I put in A.Opt 6 but if I choose n.music nothing happens. There are two link rooms with passive kits and if you select N.Music in them with the BeoSound 4 connected they turn on then off instantly. Without it connected it works perfectly. I haven't however tried selecting Cd in the link rooms though.

It almost feels as if the BeoSound 4 doesn't want to be in option 6 eventhough it accepts the option by the led flashing.

    Any other clues??

After changing components and/or (re)programming of options,
it's always a good idea to disconnect all components from the mains
    for several minutes.

After restoring power wait a minute and repeat option programming.

Again disconnect all components from power and restore power after a
    minute.

Wait a minute before starting the system.

This procedure should release a system ...
