I'm not sure, but perhaps you need to login separately over there (look in the upper right corner whether it shows that you are logged in or not). as that thread runs on a separate forum. It'll be finished soon for tonight anyway, but you're most welcome next Wednesday at 7pm UK time!

Ladies (hah!) and gentlemen,

as you may know, to make us Wednesday Thread© participants serve some remotely useful purpose, we are being used as crash test dummies for the upcoming forum upgrade - therefore the Wedthred runs on a separate forum.

Thanks to johnharwood actually trying to participate, an issue was found which prevented newly registered members from posting on the other forum. It will be resolved properly in due course, but in the meantime everybody should now be able to post on the Wedthred.

Actually John, you provided excellent feedback without knowing it.

You will note that you are a Bronze member and have the one star, however on the Wednesday thread there are no stars against your name and that is why you had the problem.

It works now because I enable all registered users to reply to a post, but I will be making a software change to fully resolve the problem which you identified for us.
