BeoVision 7-55 or BeoVision 10-46? That is the question...

I'm considering either one of these televisions. I love the thin, minimalist profile and 240Hz screen of the 10-46, but I also love the design and superior sound of the BV7. If I buy the BV7-55, it would be without the disc player.

Does anyone know how the price compares between the disc-free BV7-55 versus the BV10-46?

How does the picture compare (120Hz on BV7-55 versus 240Hz on BV10-46)?

    Any recommendations?

BeoVision 7-55 3D, BeoSound 9000, BeoSound 8, BeoLab 7-6, BeoLab Penta III, BeoLab 8000, BeoLab 6000, BeoLab 2, LC-1, BeoTime (analog clock), Form 1 headphones, Beo 4 remote.

We have a 7-55 and one month old 10-40.  I see you are in the USA as I am. The 10-46 is just a bit more than 1/2 the price of a 7-55 with motorized stand, BluRay, and a center speaker, if I remember correctly.

The picture quality is stunning on both. sometimes I prefer our 7-55, sometimes the 10-40.

The center channel sound from the 7-4 on our 7-55 is  better than the 10-40.

    Hello.

I asked me the same questions. It´s difficult to compare these 2 BV because the 7-55 plays in a higher league. You can see it not only on the price.

I´ve seen both BV standing together and must say that I was flashed about the pictufre of the 7-55. It is brilliance with such a deep black I´ve never seen before on a flatscreen. And the sound of the 7-4 is much better than the 10-46.

When I told me the question I decided to buy a 10-46 because the 7-55 is too big for my living room. But when B&O sell a 7-46 with the same technic like the 7-55 (backlight LED with local dimming) I´ll be one of the first to buy this one.

    Greets.

I agree, the blacks on the 7-55 are amazing.

They're absolutely different BVs in many senses: picture quality, sound quality, versatility, ecc.

The exclusive screen of the BV7-55", is better than the screen of the BV10 because a 120 Hz screen with Scanning Backlight is better than a 240 Hz EdgeLED screen: the white is "whiter" and the black "blacker" Stick out tongue

The BV7-55" has built the BSy3, and this says everything...

So comparing them is like comparing a BMW's 1 Series with a BMW's 6 Series...

7-55 totAlly agree. But it's a matter of price difference as well. This might be a small but significant detail!!!!

    Best regards

No doubt, the 7-55 is quite better than the 10-46.

But because of the wall in my living room I also wait for a BV 7-46 with the technic of the 7-55. So I would be the second man who would buy it at once, after Nieli.

My thanks goes out to everybody who helped answer my questions. Everyone's feedback was very helpful! I think I'll get the BV7-55 for my main room and get a BV10-40 or 32 for the master bedroom - especially since I like both the BV7 and BV10 designs.

Saw a BV10-32 on its floor stand the other day - it's the most adorable TV! Kind of like a big-faced little robot...

You will never regret buying a 7-55. I think it is one of the best LCD-tvs on the market on all aspects.

I had a 7-40 Mark III before. Except from the size, the picture-quality is much much better with 7-55 than with 7-40 mark III.

I fully agree, the 7-55 is a great TV, I had the 7-40MK3 and then the 7-40MKIV (very short) and ended up with the 7-55.

It is very expensive, but it is a great TV.

    There is something about B&O.....

I have to agree with Leo. After nearly crying at the awful sound performance of the BeoSound 8 and trying to quickly exit the B&O showroom, I saw the BeoVision 10/32 on the motorised table stand. Oh my gosh, it really suits that size. Nearly fainted at the £5000 price though. I'd always thought it was coming in at £4000 - must be the extra cost of that lil stand!
