    BeoSystem 3- IR eye

    hi everyone,

Tomorrow I.m going to buy a used Beosystem 3. The unit come without the IR eye and the IR blaster. I wonder if it is possible to use an the IR eye from my Beolink active in this unit. Also, I checked and the Bs3 does not use the same DIN connection so I>m wondering how should I modify the connections for the BS3?

I called B&O dealer and it seems thet they are not selling IR blasters! Any ideea what I should buy in order to be compatible with the BS3?

    Thanks in advance,

    Kind regards....

    all sold!

    Re: BeoSystem 3- IR eye

Well from how i understand it the eye is the same device but is wired differently for difference applications. (correct me if im wrong)

The BV7 beosystem 3's connection is a headphone jack as it only uses IR no contrast stuff is needed. When used with the Beolink passive I had a din connection to the same IR i assume for use with the buttons and IR.

I am not sure about the beosystem 3 it might be a different IR, A dealer should be able to get you the correct cable and confirm if you have the right IR.

You are absolutelly right. I need in fact only the Jack connection. I received today my Beosystem 3. I have to contact the dealer in order to have the PIN code. I bought it at an Police auction for a very very very good price!

I wonder if anybody tried this connection on his Beosystem///

I can confirm that you can use a Beolink Eye and modify the connections as described here:

Dealer quoted me 260$ for the original IR Eye. Now I have 260$ more in my pockets!
