Right, here goes.
I am 48 years old, and up until today the only thing I have won in my life was a chocolate Easter egg in a pub raffle!
For the past almost two years I have been a frequent visitor to this wonderful site. During this time I have made a lot of friends, mostly online but in the flesh too (Struer)
When it was announced on the old forum that the gold membership was to cost £30, I didn't even have to think twice. Not just because of the potential of winning prizes but because my little contribution would go towards keeping this site running.
Can you imagine how things would be without Beoworld? It would take us ages on the official site to find out any small snippet of information and more often the advice would be "Consult your local dealer"
I'm sure that my frequent drivel-type posts might sometimes get right up your nose, but hey, that's just me.
I am not particularly knowledgeable in technical matters and am not an educated person either. What I have got is a sense of humour and the willingness to help anyone I can. A little light-hearted banter can sometimes be a good thing.
Thankyou all for putting up with me over the last couple of years.

And now a special huge THANK YOU to Lee and all the moderators at Beoworld. Get your wallets out and "Go for gold" to support this site. Who knows, it may be you composing this post next month! 
I am sure that a photo' opportunity looms and also photo's of my lovely white Beosystem 7000 in situ will be posted on here in due course.

I'll bring my BL7000 to the Manchester meeting for you to borrow! Then you will see what the 7000 system will really do. I replaced mine with a BC2 and in many ways regret doing so except for the DAB radio. I am really delighted that you have won!

Really pleased for you Andy, well done. Many congratulations to all the other prize winners too. It was great to see someone in Australia winning a prize, not to mention the winner in France and other European destinations. I think that makes it all the more exciting. Well done to all. I hope you get much pleasure from your prizes.

A Link7000 is on my list of things to get! I do like the idea of setting timers etc. At the moment, I wake up to iTunes through my Creative speakers, but would much prefer the sound of my stereo in the morning!

Here is the randomly generated number sequence, starting at the top with 10th prize, counting down to first prize last and at the bottom. I frantically cross match the numbers against the membership numbers, and freely admit to leaving it right until the very last minute this time in case we had any latecomers.  I moved my iMac clock into shot to show you just how fine i was cutting it!!

My Mac clock is correct, but the random.org clock is a little slow!

You will also see in my next post that fifth prize went to member number 3, who is actually a receptionist at Firebrand and was a "test" entry. I rapidly entered another random number generator for just the one number, and the results will follow..
