B&O's 85th Birthday appears to be a Happy Day for customers

Several of us in Australia received this today Laughing

Bang & Olufsen invites you to join our birthday celebrations
with a special offer 85 years in the making!

    Dear Edward,

November 2010 marks 85 years since two young engineers called Peter Bang and Svend Olufsen began producing radios in the attic of the Olufsen family home in Struer, Denmark.

Today, Bang & Olufsen is one of the world’s leading brands, presenting a remarkable portfolio built on the vision set out by our founders in 1925: Courage to constantly question the ordinary in search of surprising, long-lasting experiences.

Throughout November, we are inviting you to join our birthday celebrations with a once-in-85-years special offer:

Purchase from a Bang & Olufsen store in Australia and receive your choice of
    A discount of 8.5%
    OR
Interest-free payment terms of 85 weeks, with no deposit

This offer, designed to turn your dreams into reality, is available on any product in our range - from magical Bang & Olufsen icons such as the BeoSound 9000 audio master or the BeoVision 7 television range, to the newer stars such as the BeoSound 5 digital audio master or the stunning BeoVision 10 family of televisions.

Birthdays are all about the moment and this is no different - these sensational opportunities are strictly limited to purchases made in November 2010 and delivered by 28th February 2011.

So, act now and treat yourself to 85 years of innovation, quality and craftsmanship.

I look forward to welcoming you in November

    Best regards,

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

I think its time to go and have a chat about a BV-10 :-)  But that has got me thinking will a lot of their products be updated shortly?  I have lots of questions about BV's and whether i need a separate foxtel box still and can the card be inserted directly in to the tv.... hmmmm decisions decisions

If anyone wants me to forward the email, PM me your email and I'll send it through.

I suspect they are also doing it instead of lowering the prices which is what they should do because the dollar is so good.

Went to have a look today at the BV10-46 in my lunch break and got a quote ;-)  Why oh why, just 2 HDMI :-(

Yes I would expect you are correct.

Both offers would be good though.

You could always walk into a dealeer and wish them Happy Birthday

And take it a bottle :-)

So then maybe they would get so emotional they would give you a bottle opener

Well not to die for, but any discount on an expensive item is not bad especially if you're in the market to buy at the time of the sale ;-)
