Step1: I am sure b&o use to publicise the fact these controls were made of some sort of zinc alloy or similar. Not sure that helps though!

They are some sort of cast alloy. So that would make sense. Also done a black one today. Didn't bother to strip that though, as I wanted to see if the recoat setting on the gun would work. Which it did, but I should have flashed the metal first. Got a few tiny imperfections which I am not happy about.

For millions of years, mankind lived just like the animals. Then something happened which unleashed the power of our imagination. We learned to talk and we learned to listen..
I cannot believe I am just now finding this!
This is incredible. I really want to paint my Beo4 but I can't bring myselfto do it. It is practically out of box fresh. Only 2 years old. Half the time I don't even pick it up when I use it! I just sit it on the coffee table.

Here are the pictures of the black one. This one I think really needs the bottom panel doing to match too.

Another great result! Could've been a factory choice. The bottom panel looks great on the pictures. I think I'd leave it alone unless you can reproduce the logo properly.

It does not look too bad in the pictures, maybe because of the flash. When it is in front of you, there is quite a difference betwwen the two blacks.
Very nice Craig. Very bold, but I like it! Would want this if I ever get my hands on a black Beosystem 7000, and a white version for my white 6500 :)
I can see why B&O lumped for grey as it's a more universal colour.
Olly.
Without using the flash it looks far better!
B&O item 1, B&O item 2, B&O item 3,...................B&O item 735
Beovirus? What's that?
I think they both look great, job well done
