Puc codes for samsung stopped working

    Hi!

Setup: Beovision 10-40 newest model with a Samsung BD-C7500 Blueray connected and controlled via Puc and ir control.

Operation worket perfectly at first but now more and more commands seems to stop working. Fast forward/rewind for example doesn´t work anymore.

Any suggestions what´s going on. I have tried to disconnect/reconnect but no improvement.

power down the tv for a few mins and then re-apply power

when you start up make sure you select tv in case it needs the pin number

i just to have no end of trouble with my tv when the power had been out for a while and on the old software you had to select tv as the other sources never asked for the pin and this then made the screen work but no STB/PUC control.

This is a just a thought, and probably not right, but have you tried hitting the buttons twice for each command? Sometimes with our Sony it will seem to stop working but if I press each command twice it works flawlessly.

    Hi!

I tried disconnect from mains. became a bit better but not as good as earlier. I´ll try the double click as well.

Most problems occur when I´m watching a movie and tries to skip chapters or fast/slow forward/rewind.

We have had the double click problem with both our previous Beovision 7-40 MKIII and our current Beovision 7-55. If  we turn the Blu-Ray and TV on as the first source from standby, there is no double click problem, everything works perfectly. If, however, we switch to Blu-Ray from another source, then the double click problem resumes. On our 7-40 if the double click problem had occurred, and if the TV was turned off, 30 seconds after turning off the red standby light would blink 5 times. If the TV was turned back on before the 5 blinks the double click was still there. If it was turned on after the blinks the problem would be gone.

You need to update the SW of the beovision 10 as with the new build their is a fix for the stb. The stb stops working after 20 mins. Contact your dealer to get the update.

Re: Puc codes for samsung stopped working

How do you check the BV10 software version and regarding the Samsung BD; where do one find instruction on how to operate the unit using the Beo4? I figured out start stop, play and using the color buttons; but guessing that I'm missing a few...

Pressing menu should bring up a display on the screen that will tell you what commands are available.

How do you check the BV10 software version

Press menu (twice if you have DVB HD module) to go into the TV menu. Highlight the options tab then press red + go. That takes you into the customer service menu. In here you can see which software build is currently in your TV. The latest software for BeoVision 10 and BeoVision8 40 is build 153. Amongst other things this cures the problem of the PUC loosing commands.

Thank you for the nice overview of the codes!

Is there also a way to eject the disc with the Beo-remote?

Unfortunately the Eject command is not available in the generic Samsung Blu-Ray file!

What setup are you using? If your TV supports PUC flashing, I recommend that you check if there exists a specific PUC for your Samsung player and contact your Dealer for an update.

Why would you need this? If you want to take the cd/bluray out and put it back in the box you will need to go to the player anyway...
An eject button would need to be an eject-back in the box-in the sideboard-button ;-)

Re: Puc codes for samsung stopped working

My whole Blu ray player is hidden behind a extra front wall where also my tv is mounted.

Just the slot-in (Samsung BD-D7500) can be reached for putting the disc in/out. Now when I want to eject the disc I have to take the player from behind the wall to push the eject-button, which is located in the middle of the player and put it back behind the wall again.

    A bit silly....

Re: Puc codes for samsung stopped working

Why don't you put/wall-mout the original remote there as well?
It should still work! It is not an either-or but the two remotes (beo 4 and orignal one) work side by side.
Push the orignal remotes eject button and that's it....

I now use the specific codes for bd-c7500 and everything works perfectly. Bd player hangs at the back of the bv10 using stb brackets.

If I remember correctly I tried codes for another samsung and could then eject disc but many other commands didn't work.
