    BeoVision 10-32

Now on site and the user and service manuals are there. Looks like a perfect link room set - but no surround and interestingly no woofer.  Will allow connection of a sub-woofer and two front speakers though.

    Hi,

I have a 10-40 which i love and this set is a great bedroom TV.

I realy want to have DD and DTS encoding to my front speakers, is this posible?

No - no surround sound module - only stereo.

    Strange,

    From the B&O website:

LOUDSPEAKER OUTPUTS 2 x Power Link
    DIGITAL SOUND DECODING CAPABILITIES

Dolby Digital 5.1, DTS 5.1, DTS Digital Surround, Neo:6, Pro-Logic ll

There is no surround sound processor in this TV. It wouldn't fit. Output is stereo with the option of a sub-woofer. It has a similar system to the old LX sets of centre balance. The Powerlink sockets allow front stereo speakers to be fitted - if a sub-woofer is fitted, the speakers attach to that instead.

    Re: BeoVision 10-32

As a guess, I would say the BeoVision 10-32 IS capable of decoding surround sound signals, but it just plays them back in stereo. Maybe there isn't enough space for the extra D/A converters + volume controlling...

In good old B&O tradition we'll probably see full surround in the MKII version.

BeoVision8000/BeoCenter1 also had no surround in their first version.

Since it appears that it has  all the surroundsound logic on board then it's just a matter of fitting 3 extra PowerLink connections

Wouldn't it only need 4 in total and use the inbuilt speaker for centre?

    2x front

    2x back

    1x sub

Internal speakers function as center speaker... So only 3 PowerLink connections need to be added
