    Cleaning steel

What do you use to clean the metal shiny bits on your speakers?  The stuff I'm using just clouds it up.

Coconut oil is advised by Bang & Olufsen for the stainless steel panels of the Penta.

    Re: Cleaning steel

But there is a problem if you use glasscleaner and other things that removes the thin layer of oil that's on the surface. The layer protects the surface aigainst fingerprints and so on. But if the layer isn't there, fingerprints will "burn in" or oxidide the surface, and they can be hard to get off again! Unless you ofcourse polish the surface, but on a pair of Beolab 3000, 4500 or 5000 I think, that the 'Bang & Olufsen' maybe will be polished of?!

I use something called 'Sterling'; a product made for stainless steel, that polishes the surface slightly and also contains oil that protects the surface.
