MOTS not working with WAV files.

MOTS on my BS 5 doesn`t work, my dealer told me the system can`t analyse WAV files and that`s the problem. Does anyone else have the same experience?

I don't know whether the BS5's mots does or does not work with wav-files, but why not make all your wav-files into lossless files?

That way you will be able to tag them much better, and you will have an album collection taking up approximately 60 percent of your wav-collection.

    Edit:

And lossless is, of course, lossless Yes - thumbs up

Ok, do you know of a program that can convert Wav files to lossless?

If you're on Windows, foobar2000 is a free player which will also convert pretty much anything to anything. You may need to download some components or encoders separately and the tagging / filename conversion will need some thought - read the instructions, or be prepared to start over many times! Smile

Yes, iTunes on Windows can convert to WMA lossless which is what you need on the BS5, Foobar as is mentioned,  and my favourite: The paid-for version of Winamp.

I use X Recode and it also works like a charm, I had a few albums in wav format and they were converted both to ALAC and WMALossless without any problem.Smile

On the Mac I am using Switch from NCH Software.  Works great, although not free.
