Still no words on price and release date. Have any of you heard something about price from your local retailers?

    A wise move IMHO.

Looks like a perfect TV for the bedroom, spare room etc...

Should come in a basic version without DD, etc usually not needed for the second TV. (with the option to add features.)

Yeah I agree. I guess it'll be more popular than the BV8-32 that never really made it into bedrooms and such.

Yes, finally, very happy with this move !

No need to install the BV8-32 with its lousy one HDMI in our bedroom, I think we will install it in the kitchen as well instead of the BV8-40. Unless the sound quality of BV8-40 is better ?

Very eager to see their two way and tilt wall bracket.

Stupid question: what is DD ?

Strange, doesn't work for me this link. ----  Ok, found the technical info.

Should we think any less due to the 100/120 Hz Refresh rate or doesn't it matter on 32 inch screen ?

The difference between 100 Hz and 200 Hz is not that significant unless scanning backlights are in the equation. Some people actually prefer to turn it off. I don't think it's really important here that the 32-inch "only" has 100 Hz.

This 1000 euro extra (compared to bv8-32) is totally worth it (IMO).

This makes the BV6-26 quite expensive for 26inch (we need one as computer screen)

The BV 8-32 is a great little TV and I was disappointed to see it removed from the range. 32" are best for bedrooms and that's where my BV 8-32 is. That said, I don't like having 2 of the same style in a house... eg. with a BV 10-40 in the living room, I wouldn't want a BV 10-32 in the bedroom. If I had the latter in the bedroom, I'd want to "varietize" it with eg. a BV 7-40 in the living room, but it costs much more... I'm just glad I was able to buy the BV 8-32 when it was available.

You're right and I had one on order and would have installed it but esprecially the lack of multiple HDMI bothered me ( I need one for Digital TV and one for a Mac Mini), i liked the price though  Stick out tongue

Re flx: The lack of multiple HDMI inputs on the BV 8-32 is awkward, and was one of the main complaints of buyers! I use a HDMI switcher and manually switch when viewing a different source.

Can I please ask you people to stop saying that this is 'a cute TV' or 'a TV for a spare room or a bedroom'. Keep in mind that there are a lot of B&O enthousiasts who are happy to buy this as a main TV! Not everyone has the opportunity to buy this as a second TV (let alone as main TV). It's not about buying a pair of shoes, we are talking about big money (well, maybe to a lot of you it isn't, but a lot more think otherwise).

Ergo: it is a propper TV, like all other models offered by B&O. I would be happy if I can buy it and give it a place in the living room.

    Quite right!

32" would be quite adequate for my living room. In fact it would be a significant step up from my 28" Avant. The 40" would be almost too dominant for my taste.

I can't help wondering what the future of BV7-32 will be, it hasn't been updated for ages and now the picture quality is certainly going to be much superior on the BV10-32, not to mention the connections and full HD capacity.

Since the built-in DVD player doesn't play BluRay nor can record anything, it looks like BV7 family will soon have only 2 members..Indifferent

Well, I've just received a personalised folded brochure from my B&O dealer, offering a home demonstration and  featuring the BV10. This picture, which is clearly the 32, is on the inside page, but for some reason the leaflet only identifies the model choice as being BV10-40 or 46!

The other interesting thing is that the BS 9000 is so prominently placed in the foreground.......... not what you would expect for a model supposedly going to be phased out soon.

I agree with  other comments about references to 32" screens being suitable for bedrooms. etc. They are equally suitable for main rooms in many circumstances. The same thinking seemed to creep-in when the 32" Avant was being compared to the BV/BC1, when the slightly smaller 4:3 screened TV was suddenly referred to by everyone (inc Lifestyle) as being more suitable for the bedroom or kitchen. How many people had a kitchen that could easliy accommodate a BC1 (not to mention the effects of grease on that DVD drawer)?

I suppose in 10 years time we'll all have 104" living room screens and the 32"s will be the new portables Whistle

Your quite right, in the days of CRT's 32 inch was the biggest size available, however nowadays the average moved upwards to 40/50 inch. Everybody quickly got used to those big sizes. Everything depends of the room you want to put it in and how far you're sitting from it.

My dealer told me 6 months ago that 32 inch would not be made for the BV10, everything would be become larger (bv7-55,...), my argument was indeed that not everybody wanted a huge 50 inch screen in his living room even if they could afford it.

Of course it is a lot of money, I agree fully, but the moment you enter the world of B&O you know you will pay a premium. But then it comes also with a design, ease of use and functionalities which most brands don't even offer.

Neither is it like buying a pair of shoes, that's why I keep track of this forum in order to know in advance if a certain product will be updated or the other way around, just to avoid dissapointment when you put your hard earned money down.
