I have connected a mac mini to a bv4. The image is too dark and the onscreen b&o menu of course cant be used when in dvi mode

when changing values in tv mode it does not affect the dvi screen. 

I have tried a program called shades, and a couple of others but still the image is way too dark.

Do I need to get myself a panasonic remote to access the "real" panel´s settings or can someone give some advice?
