    Beovision 5 speaker cover questions

I am wanting to purchase a Beovision 10, but would like it to match our Beolab 1s. Dealer has confirmed I could purchase a replacement speaker cover for a Beovison 5 in the color of our speakers. My idea is to remove the fabric from the 5's speaker cover and use it to recover the speaker cover for the 10. As the 5 was a 42 inch and the 10 is 40 inch it should be large enough. Questions are, what are the exact dimensions of the speaker cover on a Beovision 5? And, can the cloth be removed? Is it attached just around the edges or are any portions of the fabric in the middle, visible areas, glued down? Thanks!

Re: Beovision 5 speaker cover questions

    Hello Razlaw

Made some measurements on my BV5 and the speakerfront is 460 mm X 925 mm, the original fabric is glued on the edge of the back of the front. Speakercover of BV10 is 310 mm X 885 mm, so it should go, if you can cut away the fabric with a sharp scalpel. The fabric is elastic, so you can stretch it a bit. I've tried using a different fabric on my BV10, just to try, and it was easy to just tape it on the back. It may not be too thick just because the power of the magnets, which holds the cover, then becomes weak.

    Good luck
