I have purchased the BeoCom 6000 Mark 1 handset with BeoTalk 1200.The answering machine seems to function fine but I am unable to get a menu setting to show up on the handset. I have followed the instructions in the manual that I found online but nothing seems to workI can't delete the stored caller ID entries nor will new call information show up on the handset (but does show on the answering machine). Can't change a thing! Have I purchased a dud?

Based on your description, it seems likely that your Beocom 6000 is faulty..

This may be a stupid question (and ignore me if it is!!) but are you using the manual for the Mk1 Beocom 6000, only I have had a problem in the past that the user manuals on the B&O site are the newest ones and looking at the one for the Beocom 6000 that is for the newest one!

To get the MENU on a MK1 you need to press the black dot between the A & V then 7 (MENU). I do have a PDF version of the MK1 manual if you need it.
