    loudspeakers for old B&O products

Hello Beoworlders! We are fans from Bulgaria and we just registered in this nice place. Recently we started to make up our collection of old and vintage products of B&O. Curently we have Beosystem 5500 and Beocenter 9500. The great aquisition is Beovox Penta. Now we are looking for louspeakers and another one vintage receiver.

So our question is-can somebody advise us which beolab speakers match better to these products?

We are intended to use Beosystem 5500 with Beovox Penta. Advices?

What are the best match speakers for Beocenter 9500? Probably Beovox 3000 (4500) or other?

The receiver we like is Beomaster 3000-2. What will be the best speaker for it? We have no big space to place Uniphase or original Beovox speakers, so we are looking for P30 or P45 for this. Any thoughts?

    Thanks a lot!

    Nadya and Mitko

    Welcome to BeoWorld!

It sounds like your first two selections are right on the money! Nice matches.

As far as choosing between P30 and P45... P45!

Thanks a lot, burantek! It looks like we are on the right way. We are eager to start listening our Pentas (midrange speakers needs to be repaired Sad ). Some pictures will be posted later.

    We will share our experience.

P45s are great speakers - note what Martin has said about the woofers though - glue the magnets in place. I am using CX100s with my BM5500 - space constraints!

In my opinion Red Line 60-2 or RL6000 are also a good combination with BeoMaster 5500 or BeoCenter 9500.

CX100 was second option for BM3000-2. Can we hang them on the wall? And do we need Cona for them?

I have had a pair of CX50's hanging on a wall, worked fine Smile

The bass will be a little thin, The Cona will not be necessary, but a nice supplement to the system though Wink

I would recomend a pair of P45's for the BM 3000 and a pair of RedLine speakers for the 5500 Smile

Thanks blackrix, but Penta is already reserved for 5500 Smile. Just listened before send midrange speakers to serviceman. Sound is heavenly!!!!!Surprise

We are thinking about some of RL range speakers but for other combinations. They are very interesting as design and we think they also have very nice "voice". Unfortunately no space at home for RL 60-2.

BTW-any suggestions about Beocord 1100? Any experience? We like it and we are wondering what receiver will be the best match? If we choose second one BM 3000-2 will RL 60 or 6000 complete entire "picture"? Just to clarify-this will be the music system in our summer house.

    Thanks!!!

You can wall mount the RL 60.2! Or even get ceiling poles that mount them from your ceiling!

we once baby-sat some RL 60s for a couple of years

I loved their sound ... but my wife was glad to see them leave, she never liked their looks

First B&O (1976) was a Beogram 1500 ... latest (2011) change has been to couple the BL11 with the BL6Ks *sounds superb*

The Beocord 1100 is pretty basic - the two very good cassette decks of this era are the 2200 and 5000. The latter however cannot be described as reliable though.  The 1900 and 2400 are also worth considering though a bit more modern looking.
