    bc6-23 & dvb

    hi,

i purchased a bc6-23 a few years back as a link tv in my kictchen. now that france is swithing to digital only tv, i am looking for solutions.

i read on the forums that it is possible to pull out the radio module and replace it with a dvb-hd module on the bc6. can anyone confirm if this is possible for the bc6-23.

    thanks !

Otherwise, if not possible, I indicated on the french forum an external receiver from Televes, modified by MAD (located in Paris 11) to be controled with a B&O remote. It is not HD, but the BC6 panel is not Full HD AFAIK ?!  No STB needed, just plug it in the AV socket, and switch to DVD, VTAPE, VMEM or whatever you choose in the TV menu to view the source, commands are directly transmited to the Televes.

    Have a look: http://www.tv-hifi.fr/DECODEUR-TNT-BEO4-LK1000-cbdaaaaKa.asp

    hi,

the bc6-23 is "hd ready", so i only need a solution that is that good.

the decoder looks interesting. do you know if the unit will "fit" in a wall-mounted bc6-23 ?

otherwise, i understand that it is seen as av device and can manage the various tv commands (channel, etc...). is this correct ?

    thanks again !

No idea, I don't know where the AV plugs are located on the BC6, neither if the decoder will fit inside the plastic plate behind the TV. You should call MAD (it's the B&O repair center for all parisians B&0 dealers, excepted one) they will tell you.

    Absolutely, the device manages everything:

channel zapping, record on USB key or external HD (as well as watching JPEG put on it), EPG, channels level reception and quality signal, picture settings, sound settings...

In fact you have the same capabilities than with the Televes remote itself, a mapping has been done to control the device through the Beo4 (or link1000, but easier on Beo4 because you sometimes need the EXIT button which is not available on LK1000).
