Beolab 2 in non B&O applications...........line in voltage to trigger it on.

Hello all.  Haven't posted for awhile and I'm back!  Big Smile

We all know that a Beolab 2 will not work in a non B&O application because it has no in-line feature.  In order to turn on a Beolab 2 from a non B&O source, there is an adaptor made by B&O which uses a transformer to feeds 6 volts into it to power it on.  I hate the transformer because it introduces a faint but annoying buzz into the speaker setup.

I would like to if it is possible to hook up the BL2 to a Krell HTS processor.  The processor has a 12 volt DC out trigger.  My question is if I feed 12 volts instead of 6 into the BL2, will it blow out?  Please don't laugh.

    Thanks from Kevin
