I have been offered a Sony harddisk recorder (analog signals only) but I don't know if I can get any benefit from it. 

I have a BV8 40" with the DVB-HD module and I can only receive DVB channels. 

Will it be possible to record the digital channels to the Sony recorder via Scart?

Is there any chance that (if there is a PUC code for it) it can record directly with a press on the record on the BEO4?

Timer recordings? I guess that is not an option since the TV has to be turned on in order to use its tuner.
