    Free Beocenter 1800

No cartridge. The tone arm doesn't lift (usual brass pin lubrication problem which I don't have the time nor inclination to fix) but fully working other than that. The black aluminium part of the lid hinge assembly is a bit rough. Or I can break for parts for anyone who needs the sliders/turntable motor etc.... Parts are interchangable with some Beograms/Beomasters

    Chris.

Someone should really pick this up.
There are not too many Beocenter 1800's around.

    True enough Martin. If only I hadn't typo'd what I have, it's actually a Beocenter 2800 NOT a 1800Embarrassed

I just don't have the room for it or the time to mend. The sound is really good - built around the BM1500.

Still rare, maybe even a bit more so.

I got rid of my BC2800 when the lid hinge broke, and it was pretty much impossible to fix (especially after the spring flew the parts all around the room...).

Didn't like the looks much either, but as you say Chris, it sounded very good - this would be a worthwhile piece of kit just for daily use!
