    Beocomm 6000

I recently had to buy a new battery for my beocomm 6000 which didn't cost as i thought it would.  The phone which has a little LED light on the back just keeps blinking and blinking however the phone works fine.  I even tried changing the battery to a working one from another handset and still it blinks, but it still works.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

just tried putting that in and the blinking is still on.  Question do you just type it in and the flashing should stop?

Carl, sorry to state the obvious, but have you scrolled through all 24 Caller ID numbers?
Press "Caller ID" twice, and make sure all of them say "No New Calls".

    Hope this helps.

If none of the above help, you could just go into the set up menu and switch off the alert light Whistle

I have put the numbers in but to no avail the red light still flashes at me.  It just seemed to reset the battery but then nothing else.  As for the setup to turn the light off that worked but i am still wondering what the hell it is caused by.  Anyway its gone for now so please tell jandyt to stop stating the obvious LOL.  Thanks guys.

We maybe missed a step with your flashing alert light before simply turning it off.

When it flashes, you can press the button in the middle of the wheel and it gives the reason for the flashing light. Pssible causes are missed calls (check caller ID log), line busy - another handset is on an call or loss of signal to base.
