Problem with using beolink passive for driver of centre speaker

I have a problem with using beolink passive for driver of centre speaker for my Beosystem 2.

When I turn the system ON and OFF there is a "PLOOB" sound in the center speaker.

    Any ideas

    thanks

My passive does this as well and I'm using it to power some 'mid' speakers.

Also seems to happen when it goes to different speaker modes as well.

Not familiar with BeoSystem 2 (never came to the US); but are both of you using the fully wired PowerLink Cable to drive the passive kit /amplifier?

I believe that it is something about that the internal mute circuit in the passive is not used by B&O.

If anybody has the description of the work around - then please send me a PM.

    thanks

I think it's definitely a problem with the muting...which is why I was wondering about which PowerLink cables you're using.  I think you'll need to use the fully mounted 8 lead cables yo kill the 'pop'.

Do not think it is a cable issue - the should be fully mounted MK III.

This is a problem I have seen a few times before when the powerlink socket is used on the passive amplifier, its a wiring fault on the powerlink socket where if my memory serves me correctly pins 1 and 4 are reversed which are yellow and grey I think, but I will need to check the colours as my memory is not what it was in my younger days.

If you are happy to resolve this problem yourself, then just reverse the wires defined above will fix the problem. The signal is there to shut down the speakers before the TV actually switches off.

    Regards Keith....
