Beomaster 1000: Hum on left channel

    Hello,

I recently found a Beomaster 1000 in my basement and today I tried it for the first time. It sound great but has a quite loud hum on the left channel (sounds like ground hum). Does anyone know how to remedy this and how hard it would be?

I'm no expert with the soldering iron if you know what I mean : ) Any help is much appreciated, I'd love to get it done so I can use it for listening to music.

    Regards,

    Welcome to Beoworld !

There are two fuses on the main board. I suggest you check them first.
    Then the main smoothing capacitor.
