This is in fact an interesting question. As far as I know the BV 10-32 is confirmed to be released in autumn.

Much more interesting would be to know if there are any informations if the BV 10-55 is also confirmed and if it will be released until christmas?

Hope it's a 32" version... there are more then enough larger TV's in current selection!

The race for quality has no finish line- so technically, it's more like a death march.

More then agree with you. I don't like a big TV either. And a big TV takes to much space if you ask me.

I had heard it was 52" but I haven't been paying much attention. For sure there will be more sizes.

When the Beovision 10 was released, they said there won't be any smaller size... but maybe they changed their mind.

Is it sure that there will be a bigger size than 46" (52/55) Trip? Do you know if it will be released until christmas?

I am just wondering that it doesn't look as B&O is working on a successor for the BV 9....

    Hi,

Any idea about the price for a 55' BV1O?

    Cheers in advance,

Really no idea on price, but I wouldn't be surprised to see new sizes before Christmas.

Remember, though, that even if you see a BeoVision 10 in a similar size to a BeoVision 9, it's not a BeoSystem 3 based system and uses edge-lit LCDs instead of LED backlit meaning it's not going to be competitive with the BeoVision 9 or BeoVision 7-55, so I'm not sure that it would qualify as a true successor.

A BV 10 - 55 with edge lit LCD will not be good enough. With such a screen size it has to be LED backlit as the BV7-55.

A BV10-32 will definitely come, from what I have heard. I´m more questioning the probability of a BV10 55".

Heard that BV6 will be discontinued. Would be logical if a BV10-32 would be the replacement.

A 32" is definitely priority. I am pretty sure that the smallest screen size available in the US is 40". No BV6 and BV8 32 has been discontinued.

If that's the case, I hope it has the BV6 functions such as radio, etc

    Re: beovision 10 new size

I would agree that a larger TV, i.e. 52" or thereabouts, needs LED backlighting with local dimming.  The measurements support the superiority of this technology as regards contrast ratios etc.

Indeed, for premium priced TV's, doubling no doubt as Home Cinema displays in the larger sizes, IMHO all B&O sets should have as a minimum the latest panel technology, as this can be found on sets costing a great deal less and the overall performance advantage is undeniable.

Also, I am at a loss as to why, with the convenience of on-board movie codec decoding for surround sound such as DD, DTS etc built in to their TV's, why oh why B&O has not yet fallen in line with the current standards for Blu-ray, with both Dolby True HD and DTS HD Master Audio not being offered?

Why is that I wonder - a hardware or firmware problem, or royalties perhaps?  I am loathe to criticise B&O, as I love the product, but the lack of the latest codecs and panel technology is a serious shortcoming IMHO when one is outlaying substantial monies for a new TV/Home Cinema display.

    Best Regards
