We just moved from the USA and are renting a house in the Netherlands.  It has a Beovision Avant 32 w/DVD but it set up for Region 2 (?).  We have some DVDs that we have bought here, but many that we brought from the USA.  Is it possible to configure to play both?

You can even pay your local dealer to flash software into via a Palm Hand Held if they have such a thing or go into the Service Settings of the Avant and change the region to 1, you can only do this a few times though!

Can it be changed to Region 0 (ie multi-region)?

There is a hardware fix for this certainly. There was also a special Beo4 around which could be used - advertised on a now defunct site - we thought of buying one but, as is often the case, never quite got round to it.
