    Sky and the Avant

I have my new 28 in Avant at home and am over the moon with the quality of what is just under 10 years old an non HD(bought it for the mother in law and even she likes it, although not me!!!)

How do i control the Sky broadcast which we are running through the tv with the B&O controller?

How do i change the size of the screen being displayed? Read i press list and then i select something which trims the screen to our braodcast(format i think)

    Regards Chris

A Beovision 10-40 in black and red fret on order, Beo4, Beo6, many A8's, a pair of white and yellow Form 2's, Beocom 4, 28 inch Avant RF DVD, Apple TV and a wife that loves this stuff as much as i do!

    Chris,

Assuming you've got an STB module in the TV and an IR blaster connection (latter about £15 from a dealer), select the STB list in the set-up menu and select Sky. Connect one end of the blaster to the mini jack point next to the scart connectors on the TV, and place the other (adhesive pad) end onto the receiver receptor (translucent area on Skybox (not the red light.))

Select screen format in the set-up menus. There are usually separate set-up menus for the STB and for the TV, the latter needing a double press of the Beo4 menu.

Full details are in the manuals on this site (gold members) but you will find most info and potential problem areas on the forum if you persist with the right kind of searches.
