    problem 3500.

    Hello, i have a beolab 3500 and since moving and re installing it no longer will switch on, its standby light and timer lights are on and the display work, it doesnt show a time just the dots. Has it gone into sleep mode? does it need resetting ?

    Please help.

    Check the masterlink cable. Sounds like a loose connection.

    Hello, thanx, all cables are connected correctly. Its on standby but just wont come fully on, i can adjust the timer function by touching the display but thats all.

    It sounds like it have no contact with the master (even the clock is set by the master).

    Do you use master link junction box(es) or just an uncut ML cable?

    If you have one or more junction box make sure everything is in order. It's very easy to get a cable break inside those when they are moved.

    I agree with Daniel that the problem is certainly lack of contact over the Masterlink.

    Is your Beolab 3500 an older version (Mark I) or a newer one with Power link sockets (Mark II) ?. If it is an older unit which also has MCL as well as Masterlink in the move it could have gone back to the default of MCL.

    To check and change the setting on a Mark I unit do the following:-

    • To get into the service menu to switch between ML & MCL press MENU then  MENU then 0 then 2 then PLAY, then use the up arrow to switch, then store
