    Mint Beovox 5702 dropped!!!

I had my ULTRA MINT (need to stress that!!!) Beovox 5702 stored at my brothers house. I asked him to bring them to me which he did, unfortunately he dropped one of the speakers [:'(] right in front of the front door denting the back corner damaging the veneer. So i'm not sure if the veneer can be fixed?

Also the tweeter on the dropped speaker has stopped working! I jiggled it a little and give a faint sound but didn't last long!! Any ideas? Are tweeter fixable?? [:'(]

    Hi B,

    That's unfortunate [:'(]

i know how much you appreciate the condition of your toys ...

Veneer can be fixed and i'm positive the speaker can be fixed as well Smile

perhaps a loose contact (caused by the drop) ?

I suppose at least it was a back corner. I imagine that you have a loose connection. Probably a good opportunity to examine the cross over and it could be worth replacing the capacitors whilst you are there. Very sorry to hear about this though.

Its possible that one of the coils on the crossover has become detatched and broken a connection.
