    Beovision 7 MK4

    Hello All

Got my MK4 in the last few hours and been setting it all up.

wow software 9.01 has more menu's than i have ever seen on a B&o TV

    some questions i have are:

Where does it show 100Hz in the menu's??

Also i read that there was a fix for room ehco when using devices, when in the customer service menu the ML delay is grayed out under sound adjustment.

Am i correct in thinking that you still need the anologue cables connected to dist sound over the ML? where is the function to adjust the echo as its still there.

AST has to be enabled to access these settings.

    Re: Beovision 7 MK4

    How do i enable that?

    also

when watching sky hd the signal info shows as 50Hz and when i put a bluray on it changes to 47.99Hz.

Is the MK4 supposed to display 100Hz as i read in the software thread???

In your "Customer Service Menue" you'll find "Panel Output" and "100" for a MK4
    ("200" when it's a MK5)

! This is the frequency of the panel !

Your figures of 50/47,99 are the frequencies for the "raw=incoming" signal before processing.
(the same figures would also be displayed on a MK5)

On both of those basis, the fact you don't have the AST function and its telling you its only 100Hz I would say that you are on very old software not 9.01 as you thought or you have been sold a MK3 with Blu-Ray Retrofit.

Hopefully its the old software as that can be fixed!

    Hz Issue

Software i have is 100% 9.01, and its saying 50Hz not 100 as i understand that the software fixed a bug showing 50Hz on 100Hz panels years ago.

    AST

In menu options ? sound i have speaker type etc etc but no AST option.

The header of your posting says it's a "MK4 question"
but your questions/answers indicate you have a MK3 (or earlier) version ...

The 4-digit type # or the serial # would tell ...

    It's a 7-40 TV (w/o DVD/BD built in)

    - chassis similar to Mk3 types

    - to get AST the DSM module has to be exchanged to new type DSM MK 2.5 für BeoVision 7

was the MK4 without DVD / B Ray ever 100Hz or was it always 50Hz??

History - as far as I remember Smile  just beeing 93% sure *g*  :

    - The "special model" BV 7-40 TV never got a later version than the Mk3 = 50/60 Hz chassis.

    - At approx. the time of introducing BD (summer 2009) the "special model" BV 7-40 TV was discontinued.

    - The built in DVD/BD became an optional feature

    - there should be 7-40 Mk4s with 100/120Hz w/o DVD/BD
(been produced in the 2nd half of the year 2009 and 1st half of the year 2010)

    - 7-40 Mk5 200/240 Hz was introduced mid 2010

    You'll find the "switch" for AST in the sound-menue of a 7-40 Mk5 /SW 8.12

    selecting menue > options > sound > AST ON/OFF

    ? maybe a Mk4 / SW 9.01 is different ?

    Re: Beovision 7 MK4

    yeah its 100% not there.

there is another thread about this in here so it might be a problem with 9.01 but i cannot adjust my masterlink delay.

edit: If the ML is grayed out and you have DSM module 2.0 or higher AST needs to be in the menu but does not have to be switched on just present.

If AST does not appear then the DSM FEP and DSM DSP software are to old

This is seperate from the H8 Software we normally talk about.

My TV has 9.01 but the DSM module sw is 4.23a and 4.19 which is to old for AST to be shown.
