My father-in-law is getting an HD TV to replace his faithful Avant. John Lewis want £9 to take it away but wouldn't it be much nicer for someone who would appreciate it to collect it from Princes Risborough and maybe drop him £50. It works very well apart from the deck. No Beo4 as he needs to keep that for his Ouverture.

Can i ask how old it is please? ie does it have the flat type screen?

It is about 9 or 10 years old. It is Real Flat. Princes Risborough is near High Wycombe, but posher.

Steve I sent you a PM yesterday - ignore that. As it's a flat screen I would upgrade our familyroom Avant from a 28" that also has a duff vcr to this 32" and am very happy to offer the £50 but only if the guys who posted above don't wish to proceed.

I have been offered an Avant locally(Durham) although not for £50 so i will go ahead with this!!! Very sporting Stonk(hat tipped)

I'm lost.......Who is having it? It will be available next Wednesday when the replacement is being delivered.

Great result, i told you youd find it a good home on Beoworld

My father-in-law says that Mr Stonk is a very nice guy and thanks for the £50 and taking away the Avant.

I set up his new Panasonic 37" LCD and can confirm that on terrestial digital the picture is crap. About as far removed from a B & O picture, even on a 10 year old Avan, as you could get. On Sky HD though it is pretty good.

Can't wait to put Sky HD into my BV8-40, but the Misses wont let me yet, so if anyone is thinking of having a high class conservatory let me know. I promise to look after Beoworld members.
