adding speakers etc via Link setup...Help...

    Afternoon good people,

I have a 9000 system Linked through AVANT TV working 4 pentas in my living room, i have just added a speaker via link cable in dining room that works fine with sound from  cd,tv,sat, radio etc.

I have also tried to add the link into my old  Overture & 2 speakers in the office,  nowthen...... can i get the sound from say TV or the 6 CD's from  the main Hifi 9000 downstairs or not,  can't find  instructions books for Beo 4 or hifi yet, still in boxes in Attic no doubt, thought you people will know best  only thing i managed to do was get the cd playing from the 9000, i turned it on from  the overture.  It played the cd on the overture aswell ( both tunes coming out of the  Overtures speakers in office.)

any offers / info would be great or just to say " cant have two main sources on same link."

     Thanks  Dave   davidthomasames@hotmail.com

true -  but you can set your Ouverture to "A.Opt" "6" to be a secondary system ...

(If it's a very old one you'll need a SW update)

Press "LIST" and "OFF" (red dot) simultaneously

    Beo4 display changes to "ADD?"

Press "LIST" till display shows "OPTION?"

    Press "GO"

Press "LIST"  till display shows "A.OPT"

While pressing "6" watch the standby-led of your Ouverture

a "twinkle" confirms the new option - no "twinkle" means you need an update ...

You'll probably have to add "LINK" to the commands of your Beo4

To play a CD from your BSD 9000 press "LINK" "CD" "1/..../6"

thank you very much for that, i have tried it , no TWINKLE so will have to do with Link, how do i get that up on my display?? i have 3 different beo4 remotes,  the one i am using with this overture is one with SAT AV CD & A.TAPE control, ( older one  i guess)

    many regards Dave

one other daft question, can i adjust Bass treble on a beolab 3500 link speaker??

If you want to connect an additional audiosystem to a ML network with an audiomaster
it's mandatory to set "A.OPT" to "5" or "6" on the secondary system !!

Unless the SW of your Ouverture is updated to "Opt.5/6 readyness" adding the command "LINK" won't help !
    - use your Ouverture "standalone" w/o ML connected in the meantime.

    Procedure to "ADD" a command - e.g. "A.SETUP" / "LINK"

Press "LIST" and "OFF" (red dot) simultaneously

Beo4 display changes to "ADD?" - if not -
press "LIST" (repeatedly) till display shows "ADD?"

    Press "GO"

Press "LIST" (repeatedly) till display shows "A.SETUP"

    Press "GO"

    Display shows "ADDED"

Repeat the procedure for every command you want to add ...

PS: Removing unused commmands works alike - starting from "REMOVE?" instead of "ADD?"
