    Beosystem 5500 values

    Hello all,

Just after some advice please. Looking to sell my Beosystem 5500 but I don't really have a good idea on value. I have the Beogram deck, Beogram CD and the Beocord. All of the units are in good cosmetic order, and power up - I don't have the speakers however to test everything is working although it was 2-3 years ago. Obviously this will have an impact on price, but what can I expect to get for it?

It is currently in the classified section but I haven't been able to ask a price for it due to my limited knowledge of B&O!

Any help much appreciated, many thanks! Smile

You would do much better by studying eBay for a week or two to get an idea on prices and then decide on a course of action.

Thanks for the quick replies. I have been keeping an eye on ebay, but most are dealer buy-it-nows which aren't really a realistic indicator for me.

I would put the value between $10-$15 USD. I will offer you $20 because I'm very generous.

    Charming, Trip.

Many are very pleased with both the amplifier (Beomaster) and the CD-player in the Beosystem 5500, and if they 're in good working condition, you should be able to get a fair price for the set, particularly if you also have the remote control(s) that go with it.

As I understand it, you don't have the Beomaster? You should still be able to get a good price for the CD-player and these record players have become very popular now that vinyl is in vogue again.

Check with Lee, he should be able to help you out.

Thanks Soundproof, that is right, no Beomaster any longer.

    Re: Beosystem 5500 values

I am thinking about selling my system - or integrate it with the Beosystem 2/42" Plasma using a Beolink converter.

The prices I saw lately on ebay were:

    Beomaster 5500 + MCP 5500 200,00 €
    Beogram CD 5500 150,00 €
    Beocord 5500 50,00 €
    Rack 100,00 €
    Audio Terminal 50,00 €

Just to give you an idea.

All depends on technical condition/cosmetical appearance, for example I have all the booklets with it.

But right now I might rather get a Beolink converter - as a collector you just need to have a stacking system Wink

Many thanks Ralf, I also have all of the booklets :) They are the kind of prices I have seen too, obviously as I can't test I'll be asking less!
