    2 centre Speakers

Does anybody have one in the same room ?

I have 2 viewing positions, one for TV and one for the Projector.

My dealer is suggesting a separate centre speaker ceiling mounted for the projector to get the full benefit .

    Any suggestions would be great.

    Thanks in Advance

Nope Smile Just a projector and an electric screen, which lowers just in front of the BV5 (with ALT). Works very fine for me.

    do you have a 7.1 setup ?

Unfortunately I have to put the screen on a different wall to the tv and hence could end up with 2 speaker setups

No, I have just an ordinairy 5.1 setup Big Smile

Is the projector in the same room as the tv-panel?

The BS3 has the speakerrole option. Then you can give your speakers a different function in different setup's (roles). Your rear speaker can be assigned as front and left as right etcetera.

As good as I can reveal from the manual, the BS3 has 8 powerlink connections. One (spare) could be used as a centre speaker in another role.

Yes , My projector is in the same room, I am looking to purchase a  BV7 40 MK3 tv so that i can use the different roles for the speakers and my dealer is suggesting a second centre speaker for the projector.

I tried doing the above before i realised that i need the bv7 mk3 as the bv7 32 does not have that facility.

Got another centre speaker  with a passive connection ceiling mounted

and the sound is fantastic , just waiting to try out the 7.1 setup with a decent Blueray or HD movie on the projector.

    Re: 2 centre Speakers

I now have 2 speaker setups with a different centre speaker for the projector.

The problem i now have is that i have to increase the volume so that we can hear the dialogue but turn it down when there is some explosive action.

Is there anything that can be done ?

    Re: 2 centre Speakers

I did an experiment connecting an older projector to my BV7-40 mkIII. I did it in the same room projecting to the opposite wall of the tv.

I found that you indeed need a second center speaker. I was hoping the beosystem 3 could mix the centerchannel into the two frontchannels, but I did not seem possible.

I too experience problems with the extreme dynamic range of movies. It makes it difficult to hear dialogue without turning up the volume.  In another room I have a non B&O 7.1 setup with an Onkyo Receiver. The onkyo has a setting for limiting the dynamic range so calm scenes are louder and the level of action scenes are lowered. It works very well.

I'd love to see a feature like this in the Beosystem.

    Re: 2 centre Speakers

    Hi Kimchr

    Thanks for that.

I was hoping that someone would have a solution/ suggestions for this.

I am sure that not many people could have a projector and tv setup on the same wall.
