    Beolink 1000 Remote Control Loudness

Hello, I have just joined Beoworld and would be very grateful if someone could please answer the below query.

I currently use a non B and O remote control (CME IR3573) with a 1989 MX 3500 tv. I have recently plugged a set of Beolab 3 speakers into the back of the tv and also connected my computer to the back of the tv. The CME remote control operates all functions apart from activating the computer link (i know there is no problem with wire or tv as I have been able to activate the computer link with a relatives beo 4 remote control).

I would now like to get a beolink 1000 remote control (to allow me to operate the computer link) but remember reading somewhere that only certain marks allow you to access / alter the loudness function (as I am currently able to do with the CME remote control). I would be grateful if someone could please clarify if this is correct and if so which mark to get and how to tell the difference between the marks.

    Many thanks,

    Hi Andy,

Many thanks for your warm welcome and reply. A very useful thread to advise on the various Beolink 1000 marks and their differences!

If you or anyone else is able to clarify the loudness query that would be great too,

The loudness on/off problems you may have read about only refer to usage with Beomaster receivers. I'm not too familiar with the MX3500 menu structure, but I believe loudness is just another setting in there and you will be able to navigate it with any version of Beolink 1000 - all you need is the SOUND button.

By the way, what do you mean with "computer link"?

Thats great - thank you very much!

All I meant by 'computer link' was how to hear sound from the computer via a PC to TV cable into the MX tv (audio aux link) and out through the Beolab 3 speakers. I am not particularly technical on these matters but hope that clarifys!
