Beovision 10-32 on its way !?

    Hello Peter and Svend fans,

My Beovision 10-40 just had the latest software update (build 126) wich do a great job for the "clouding issue" and as a nice feature like naming your source on screen (PS3 instead of DVD, SKY instead of TV...).

In the service menu, I now can choose a BV10-32 in the hardware material.

That can be interesting for some of you.

    Cheers,

    Gregory

    Hello Gregory,

I have been told with build 126 the ugly grey clock when starting the HD-module was replaced by a B&O-logo and now the electronic curtain works fine with the HD-module.

    Can you confirm this?

    Regards

Re: Beovision 10-32 on its way !?

    Guys,

I can confirm that my B & O tech said the clock as been replaced by a small B & O logo on the right.

I can't confirm it from my experience because we are still working on how to get my DVB-HD module back to life.

Since a PUC update I lost my DVB-HD, it's n/a in the service menu for no reason.

The last information from B & O (total reset - stick USB in for 4 minutes - unplug without standby - restart) didn't work.

Like you, I whant to know !

    Cheers,

Confirmed!!, BS3 controlled tv´s will also have this feature in the next build!

They have however removed the dvb-hd build from the webside due to some failures of different kind.

After updating, choosing radio by pressing red button, and then standby would result in the tv needing to be reset!!!

    Hi Ehlerz,

I know the bug with the radio of the HD-module. But download of the update 0.1.4.7 is still possible, I proofed it.

It was mentioned the 0.1.4.7 should solve a problem with recordings from the module to HDR1/2. But timer records don´t work with my BV10-40 and HDR2 if the analogue tuner is deactivated, only if it is activated it works fine (then it uses DTV as source of timer instead of wrong V.AUX). I think this is also a bug of the HD-module-software 0.1.4.7 and not of the firmware of BV10.

B&O brings out any size of BV10. Why not solve the problems with the software of the HD-module and the firmware of BV10?? The dealers will not have much fun if they have to update all sold BV10 monthly!

Sounds great! Curious to know how it has improved the clouding - has it been eliminated? Reduced?

Have others with the newer software noticed an improvement?

How might software fix such a problem?

    Hi Stuart,

I have actually build 109e (26/04/2010) and the clouding was reduced, but not totally eliminated.

I don´t know how software can fix such a problem, but it works!

The BV10-32 will take the place of the BeoVision/Center 6 series for link rooms. To be able to offer a competitive price advantage on the 10-40, B&O could offer a less classy cabinet...Cool

That is a bit of a pity. The design of the BV6 is very different then from the BV10. Try placing the BV10 on a shelf.

I don't fully understand why it is so tricky to run the TVs on the same platform and retain their frames.

I always loved the Bv6 and am still sad it never made it to the US.

Re: Beovision 10-32 on its way !?

The picture is darker from standard set up, so the black looks more black and more uniform.

It's not annoying anymore, and I know what I'm talking about, my first BV10 as been changed for severe "clouding issue".

But instead of having a too bright picture now there's a slightly dark picture. But you can play with contrast in the menu and it's perfect.

    Cheers,

    - You'll need the service tool (and your dealer/service)

    - Beginning of the month

My hope is that if B&O are making a BV10-32 then they have a right size panel (32") to update the BV-7-32 with a modern panel (and hopefully an updated Beosystem 3 "lite").

    One can dream !!

Quite a large gap from 32 to 40. 37 somewhere in the LCD range would be a useful addition.

    Hello,

now I have the same problem: Two days after updating my BV10-40 with software build 127 my HD module is dead (n/a in service menue). A reset to factory settings does not help, also a special instruction-sheet from B&O support (total reset - stick USB in for 4 minutes - unplug without standby - restart) can´t wake up the HD module. My dealer will now replace the HD module, but I fear build 127 had killed the module!

    I am very disappointed!

The price could be close the 8-40... Seems like they will show it to the dealers in September, but a release date is stated yet (but Oct/Nov seem reasonable based on previous experience). Same goes for the new "BeoSound 1" with iPod/iPhone dock.

One question - you hinted that the BV10-32 might have a different frame (or different quality build), due to the price. Are you aware of the differences?

I agree, I loved the differences in styles of the different B&O Television ranges, now the only standout is the BV8, all other TVs are flat quadrilaterals; beautiful flat quadrilaterals nonetheless!
Love B&O, but no longer addicted.
