I'm sure you are referring to the aluminum part and I do not know.

However, I have ben waiting for a thread like this to pop up so I could express my interest in a recent find...

I think these look absolutely spectacular. These speakers have graced my desktop wallpaper for probably a month now. Amazing color!!!

The sky blue frets and raw aluminum just work so well for me.

Razlaw, when you do decide to change the aluminium parts i'd be interested to buy the red parts from you.

If you want to change the fabric colour, just order new frets and install them.

If the aluminum parts, likewise just order new aluminum parts and install the rest of your old speakers into them - and it might even end up being cheaper than a pair of second hand speakers already in desired colour! If the parts were cheap and easy to swap, you wouldn't see any damaged speakers on sale...

In other words, I don't think it is feasible at all unless you can get a good deal for the old parts, looks like Dave might make it possible (shipping across the world, though...). Looks like it's only three parts per speaker, but could be plenty of work in any case.

Having somebody that would use/want the red parts would be wonderful so that they would not go to waste. I want some sort of blue speakers for our rears to match our fronts. Dealer is sending us a pair of Beolab 3s to try. If I do not find them to be hugely better than the red 6000s we are using now, seems like another possibility would be changing the colors, and if possible to buy the parts, that has to be cheaper than a new pair in blue.

I took a look at the service manual here on Beoworld and it does look completely possible, although time consuming.

You will find them hugely better than 6000's ...   Try them on 'SPEAKER 4' and hear the difference.

And we also have Andy who can remove the colour.

    Razlaw... As I recall you have a RED (Avant / BL1) room and a BLUE (BV7 / BL9) room, and I haven't heard mention of BL4000's yet...

What about moving the RED 6000's to the back of the RED room and buying a pair of BLUE 4000's for the back of the BLUE room?

We do have two pairs of Beolab 4000s, red and yellow. I have considered 4000s for the rear but the layout of our room is such that walking into the the room the back of one of  the Beolab 4000s would be visible.
