    Beocom 6000 Mk1

    Hello

I would like to change the back cover of my Beocom 6000 Mk1 handset. Can anyone give a advice how to do this? The back cover makes no move. It seems to need much more force then I tought!

    Best regards, Noah.

Have you removed the screws under the battery?

Remove the two screws under the battery. then you need to wriggle a thin blade (knife) between the two halves. ( iknow it isn't sopisticated) Do it carefully beacause the of the speaker cable. The coloured half is held by two clips on either side. Wriggle and you'll see!

The back cover of the Beocom 6000 in held in four (4) places as well as the two screws.

You must release the two clips a couple of milli-metres with a very thin blade just above the top of the battery compartment on each side first. Once both sides are release you can lift the back up from the bottom carefully noting the speaker cable which unplug from a very small socket on the PCB. Be careful not to break the top clips as you lift the back completely off. Use the top of the phone like a hinge. You will fully understand what I mean as you lift the back off.

    Regards Keith....

    Hi Jandyt and others!

Sorry for no reply. I ordred the repair kit which Keith metioned in some posts yesterday. I think I can pick it up tomorrow morning and I will definitely try the credit card method! Sounds great!;-)

I will let you know how it worked out!

    Cheers!

    Hey Keith

Thank you. I saw your picture before on the forum. It was very helpful because my dealer did not know what belongs to this kit. He even knew that it exists...Embarrassed
