Please help! Beolink 5000 no contact

    Hello everyone!

I just received a Beolink 5000 from a fellow Beoworlder in good condition.  I performed the initial setup and upon use with my

BC9500 I am getting the "no contact" when I push the status button.  I know it is in two-way mode as I set it up that way.   I know my BC9500 is sending signals back because my Beolink 7000 updates the status on that remote when the source is changed on the BC9500.

Any ideas what can be wrong?  Is it possible for just the 2-way part of the remote to go out?

    Thanks!

    Jon

If you remove the batteries and put them back in again , the beolink 5000 should be working in 2way mode

Can you change the volume or cd with the remote? My beolink doesn't always receive a signal back from my beovision, sometimes it takes a few seconds

I can operate the BC9500 fine with the remote, including changing the source and turning off/on, etc.

Nice coincidence with your avatars, guys - I first thought you were talking with yourself, macjonny Laughing

(Sorry I can't help with the problem. Is there a disorder called 'icon blindness'? I have it, and would like to claim discovering it on my name... Wink )

    Jon,

A Beoworld member advised on your "no contact" issue that capacitors on the PCB have to be replaced. Same issues with the BL7000 if they have "no contact" failures.
