How to watch PC in Link rooms

    Hello,

I have my PC connected to my BV8-40 in the living room and would like to watch this in the Link room (Beocenter 6-23). I can watch all other outputs ie SAT, DVD, Cd from the link room but dont know which button to use on my Beo4 to view the PC i n whilst conected to the BV8-40 in the main room.

I have used Link¬PC, L-PC but to no avail!

Any help/inofrmation would be highly appreciated.

    Regards

    Jola

    Hi Jola!

At first: How did you connect your PC to BV8-40? If only HDMI, you cannot watch this in your link room! You have to connect the PC also to an analogue input (p.e. VGA).

    Hi Jola,

I think it should work if you use a VGA cable. I would also connect an audio cable from PC to BV8-40 to check if you can hear audio files from your PC in your link room.

I think you configured the AV3-socket (VGA) on your BV8-40 as "PC" so you can watch your PC on the BV8-40 by pressing PC. If none of your inputs of your BC 6-23 is configured as "PC" you have only press PC on Beo4 in your link room.

    Hope it works!

    Hi Rauber,

That is exactly what i have done- configured the AV3-socket (VGA) on my BV8-40 as "PC" and can watch PC on the BV8-40 by pressing PC. I also have an audio cable connected and everything works fine on the BV8-40.

The issue is when i presss "PC"on my Beo4 in my link room when the PC is connected in the main room, nothing happens and i dont have any Pcs connected to the linkrooms - I have a Beocenter6-23 and Beovision6-22 in different rooms and nothing happens on both!

    Hello Tony,

in the user guide of the BC 6-23 it is described that the PC-button activates a PC which is connected to the DVI-socket of BC 6-23. Probably therefore "PC" and also "Link PC" does not activate a PC in the main room.

I would now try to change the AV3-socket of your BV 8-40 from "PC" to p.e. V.AUX. Then you should see the PC-monitor on your BV 8-40 by pressing V.AUX in main room and (hopefully) V.AUX or LINK V.AUX in link room.

Sorry, I can´t test it by myself because I have no BC 6-23.

    Regards

L-PC will activate BV8`s PC input on your BC6, but your PC must be connected via video (composite) and audio (L-R) to your videomaster.

Check it by connecting any video source to the AV3 video input and press L-PC in your BC6 linkroom.
