    Beovision 10-40 sound

    Hi there!

I am planning to buy BV10-40 as my first B&O TV. Can you give feedback its sound capability? Does it sound also good when watching music DVDs and BD movies? I have heard BV8 (32 and 40) and its sounds very good. It works very well when only listening mp3s. But can BV10 give as good bass than BV8?

I am not planning to buy any loudspeakers or subwoofer yet but maybe in future.

So, is BV10-40 as good as BV8 (price quality) when comparing both sound and picture? Design is deffinitely better (in my opinion).

    Many Thanks!

    JL

In my view, no. The sound for the thinness of the set is admirable but is not a patch on the bigger sets. It is very clear - I would certainly consider having a listen for yourself at a dealer - I would try it with and without a BL11 which seems specifically designed to deal with the shortcomings. The picture is excellent though.

Agree with Peter there. I had a Beovision 8 32", and the sound is more detailed and "open" on the BV10, but lacks depths in bass compared to the BV8.

Although it still can deliver a more impressive sound than any flat TV on the market.

I watched "Wolfman" the other night, and there are some "surprise scenes" where my BV10 40"  delivered a very nice "impact sound".

Scared the crap out of my wife anyway .. Stick out tongue

I will try out a small Velodyne Sub together with my BV10, until I have saved enough to go for the BL11.

    Thanks!

I have to meet my dealer and play my favourite DVD Smile

Maybe I order my BV10 before South Africa tournament...

I have my BV-10 paired with BL8000s, just need to add the BL11 and I'll be a very happy bunny!!

I wish I had a room suited to 5.1, but it's not laid out that way...

So do you think the BL11 would be the right thing to improve the sound of the BV 10 ?

I saw at my BL 3 that their sound is much more detailed when I connect them with my BL 3... may be I would have the same with BV 10 + BL 11 ?
