Hi Dave, welcome to the forum!

You will need a 7.5V, at least 1 amp regulated (stabilized) DC power supply. This adds up to at least 7.5W. Make sure the power supply is connected with the negative pole inside the plug, which is the opposite of just about any modern kit! Multipurpose power supplies that have a number of alternative DC plugs will usually have one that fits the Beolit.

Otherwise there's no specific voodoo in the Beopower, the Beolit 1000 eats DC just like any other similar device.

Now that I'm back at home, here's an example of a known working solution (not that it will help much outside Scandinavia...).

The correct plug fixed in correct orientation with shrink wrap tube. I would glue the voltage setting at 7.5 as well if this was to be used by "3rd parties"...

Just a standard one with 7,5V / 1.000 mA will do - IF you can change the polarity (and the adapter size is right).
Can be done plugging the adapter vice-versa.
Just look out for polartiy (+/-) changeable via adapter.

I bought this one for my Beolit 1000 (packaging is similar):

On the second pic you see how to adjust the polarity.
For sure I changed it to 7,5V Smile
